Ramy's Extra Fancy Long Grain Wild Rice is still grown naturally in lakes and rivers and harvested the old fashioned way, this allows us to only harvest rice that is fully mature. As a result of our custom scarification processing our long grain wild rice when cooked increases up to 4 times its original volume giving you the most for your money.

Since 1932, the Ramy family has offered only the finest quality wild rice available anywhere in the world!
Roy Ramy, our founder, would spend weeks in the north country in late August and early September, the "Month of the Wild Rice Moon."
He would stand on the shores of the water eagerly awaiting the return of his canoes weighted down with the harvest. He kept only the best wild rice for his customers.
The Ramy family continues this tradition today: only the best rice, meeting our demanding standards. It is how we have assured our customers the highest quality products for 80 years!
